The Perfect Relationship?

Janae found herself looking through old family pictures when she stumbled upon pictures of her parents. They were always happy! Her parents had been married 49 beautiful years before her mom had passed away. Janae remembered her parents marriage had always looked easy and appeared "solid as gold." As she thought back on it, she smiled because it really had been solid as gold! She could never recall hearing them argue!

NOT ONE TIME!

Did they disagree? Oh yes; many, many times, but always respectfully. So, by the time Janae had decided to get married, she automatically assumed her marriage would be real... and solid as gold too! But instead, it was as fake as one of those Crackerjack box prize rings!

Now, a five year divorcee after a 20 year marriage, she finds herself wondering two things: 1. Why wasn’t her marriage perfect like her parents', and 2. Does a perfect relationship really exist?

Today, many living room walls are billboards that read LIVE LOVE LAUGH; perhaps those are the three main ingredients required to create a perfect, long lasting relationship and/or marriage. Of course, along with respect. After all, her parents had lived life to the fullest as they loved each other unconditionally and limitless. Her parents shared laughs daily, but through it all, they had mad respect for each other.

However, every relationship has its Hurricane Katrina, too! But it is up to you to decide if you’re going to ride out the Category 5 or leave and seek new shelter. Unfortunately, there are only a few young couples today who are privy to celebrate 25 years of togetherness. Reaching 25 years is sure to have had it's shares of ups and downs. At the same time, there had to have been many LIVE LOVE LAUGH and RESPECT moments too.

Having the perfect relationship isn't an easy task to achieve. It also means accepting all the imperfections a relationship and/or marriage has to offer. Having a perfect relationship is indeed possible….as long as couples remember to. . .

LIVE LOVE LAUGH….. AND RESPECT!
